Riverdale 1898

Enjoy slow and simple days gazing out over open paddocks and woodland

Are you looking for a place to cultivate your creativity? To relax and recharge? Riverdale Farm is your rustically refined getaway.

Our ‘perfectly imperfect’ two-bedroom cottage has a vintage vibe, yet plenty of creature comforts to help you settle in and feel at home. Inside, you’ll find a curious collection of humble antiques that lend a distinctive charm to the place. Outside, you’ll find big skies, expansive paddocks, and the sound of the Kalgan River gently rolling by.

“Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer’s day, listening to the murmur of water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time.”

John Lubbock

Take time out at Riverdale Farm

Our rural retreat is only 20 minutes from Albany, but feels like a world away.

Stock up on local supplies at the Albany Farmers Market and return to the farm, where you can enjoy the simple pleasure of cooking with fresh produce within the well-equipped kitchen.

Then, it’s time to reignite your creativity in nature. Meander along the beautiful Luke Pen Walk, which follows the curves of the Kalgan River. Or explore some of the spectacular beaches and nature reserves nearby, such as Little Beach at Two Peoples Bay or the Granite Skywalk at Castle Rock.

“In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks.”

John Muir
